Our beginnings
Hello and welcome! My name is Nily Samara, and I am a an incoming freshman at Brown University. I fell in love with ballet when I saw my first ballet performance, The Nutcracker, at the age of six, and have been dancing ever since. Then, in 2022, I began teaching dance classes to a younger cousin with a disability. Long story short, I was inspired to make ballet accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, background, or financial standing. Thus, Ballet Bridges was formed. We began collaborating with foster communities, special education schools, refugee centers, and more to provide free, high-quality dance classes. Ballet can have a transformative effect on people's lives, and I believe that every child should have the opportunity to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and build self-confidence through dance.
