Ballet Bridges in Peru
Teaching Classes
Ballet Bridges provides free monthly virtual ballet classes to students in Peru and Uruguay, offering access to quality dance education regardless of financial circumstances. Led by Ballet Bridges instructors, these classes focus on both ballet technique and classical repertoire.
In addition to traditional ballet instruction, students participate in variation classes, where they learn excerpts from famous ballets such as Sleeping Beauty and Esmeralda. Through these classes, students develop technical skills, artistry, musicality, and an appreciation for the rich history of classical ballet.
By combining technique training with opportunities to learn and perform repertoire, the Peru program helps students build confidence, strengthen their dance education, and connect with a global community of young dancers.
Donation Boxes
Through regular donations of dancewear and pointe + ballet shoes, Ballet Bridges provides students in Peru with the resources they need to participate fully in dance. Donations from our community have supplied hundreds of items, including leotards, ballet and pointe shoes, tights, warm-ups, and costumes. By reducing financial barriers to participation, the program allows more young dancers to access quality dance education and performance opportunities.
